ARC stands for Advance Reader Copy. These are books offered to readers, prior to publication, to get reader feedback and reviews. ARCs are offered to a small group of select readers, free of charge.Â
Yes! We are establishing ARC groups in several different genres. Please go to the Contact page and send a request. We will be in touch with additional information.Â
Bribery works really well! (NOT. Lol!) There is a new mousetrap for us to find fabulous writers, previously published or not. If you have that writer’s spark, we do offer training. Gratis, natch. We are looking for short stories in romance, mystery, thrillers, fantasy, sci-fi, horror, and young adult.Â
Currently we are accepting submissions for Short Stories only. The story must be 5,000 words or less, and not have been published anywhere else. You may submit a .docx, .pdf or Google doc on the Contact page OR copy and paste the story into the Original Shorts Forum.
Please go to Writer’s Tips and choose from the subjects listed in the TOC (Table of Contents). At a later date, you will be able to access this from the Writer’s Pen page.Â
Because writers only use computers or their phones? Or maybe that is an enormous section we’re adding to include free courses and loads of other great info for writers. This is a house created by writers for readers and writers both.
Irresistible! Instead of your basic Murder Mystery, at TSP you actually write the thing yourselves, in teams of 3. With the help of a moderator, you don’t need to be a writer. (If you happen to be such a creature, you’ll love one of the prizes, especially if you’ve yet to be published!) Learn more at Whodunit Game.
Story Forge is a writing contest to be held several times a year. Writers will be given a Genre and several Tropes that must be included in their short story. Everyone must use the genre and tropes provided but can add additional sub-genres and/or tropes if they wish. You will have two weeks to complete your story and submit it. The best 10-15 stories will be chosen to be published in an anthology, and the writers will receive credit. More information can be found at Story Forge.Â
